Opening Up The Marketing Cabinet


For any others out there that are involved in marketing, you’ve probably spent a bunch of time over the past month planning out, and already getting done(!!), marketing activities for 2009. One of the best ways to do that is to look at what you have done in the recent past.

We spent a lot of time opening up the marketing cabinet here… at the end of the year, this can prove to be quite a satisfying feeling.  You can quickly see the mailers that you’ve sent out, the email blasts, the booklets you’ve made, the trade show gimmicks that you tried, the news you created, and much more.

I definitely think it’s important to take a  second, and be happy about what you have accomplished.

But, not for too long! It’s very important to learn from what we’ve done in the past, figure out how to improve, and go from there… Looking at what we’ve built can help us be honest with ourselves, as we analyze those activities. But more importantly, it can help inspire you to think of better and more effective marketing activities that you can do going forward.
